We would like to provide everyone with our expectations for Circles that we will hold during our Reign.<BR>
<BR>
1. If the Candidate’s mentor/advocate is not present they will not be discussed.<BR>
2. We are not interested in a story about how the Candidate was rude or offended someone 10 years ago. We are interested in ongoing behavior and actions.<BR>
3. If someone has said something and you agree with them, do not restate it, just say that you agree with them.<BR>
4. For those people in the Circle, we are aware that if you have not been playing and active for the last 3 years, it will not be possible for you to have an opinion and relevant commentary on a candidate. You are welcome to attend the circle but we would appreciate it if you keep your comments to a minimum.<BR>
5. We will have an agenda for each of our Circles, if you want to discuss a candidate you must email us at [mailto:trm@crown.ansteorra.org]. We may elect to discuss someone that is not on the agenda if there is time. Candidates must be submitted no later than the Sunday prior to the event at 11 pm.<BR>
6. Proxies must be in writing and sent to [mailto:trm@crown.ansteorra.org]. Proxies may be read in the circle at the discretion of TRMs. Proxies must be emailed no later than the Wednesday prior to the event at 11 pm.<BR>
7. In accordance with Society Policy no investigations or complaints will be brought up or discussed. Anyone that brings up an investigation or complaint will be asked to stop immediately and will not be permitted to speak again on the candidate or poll on them. <BR>
8. Abstains do not count as No or Yes, they will be counted. We look at them as an indication of how well the person and their activity are known.<BR>
We like to start and stop our circles on time, so please plan your schedule accordingly.<BR>

What a wonderful way to start the New Year. Becoming the new Prince and Princess, witnessing Coronet Tourney and seeing a new Coronet. We have several great events and awesome regional fighter practices  hat have been happening. Laurels Prize Tournament is happening in February which is a great display of all the awesome artists that Ansteorra has. In March we get to travel to Gulf Wars and compete against our friends and foes to hone our skills and talents. We look forward to this opportunity to travel a support our Kingdom. <BR><BR>

The new year is shaping up to be a banner year for Ansteorra! We have had events, classes, awards, elevations, and so much fun! LPT was a great success. Our artisans showed some of their skills and some of our Laurels got an opportunity to sit down with them and visit and help them see ways to advance their art and skill.<BR><BR>

This brings up something important to us and our plans for our reign, we want to highlight our many fine artisans. One of the ways that we will be doing this is that we want to give kits and games for our newcomer gifts. Kits will be small A&S type kits, with instructions and the name and contact information of the person donating it. We have bags to put stuff in, now we need stuff to put in them!<BR><BR>

Gulf Wars preparation is in progress. Kick the tires, check the oil, load the trailer, repair armor, pack up the A&S supplies, and plan for shopping, visiting, friends, and parties! There are so many things to plan for and do at Gulf Wars. We hope everyone has a great time and safe travels.<BR><BR>
Remember, opening ceremonies and the Champions battle are on Sunday at the beginning of Gulf Wars, not on Tuesday. Things are going to start earlier and may be on different days than you are used to, so be sure to read the schedule and plan your trip.<BR><BR>

We had a great time at Gulf Wars! We were able to witness so many acts of valor, honor, service, artistry, skills, and camaraderie it was inspiring. We were honored to participate in many of the activities and and share in the joy of working together to not only win War Points but to forge friendships and bonds that extend beyond the fields and activities of Gulf War. We hope everyone that was able to attend had a great time and got to participate in all the things.
As we return from the great war, drums grow quiet, our feet recover, and we get to relax for a moment, we look to the future. Coronation is fast approaching where we will claim our right to step up as King and Queen and serve this Great Kingdom once again. We plan to travel throughout our lands and attend as many events as we can. Our progress is currently on the Kingdom Calendar and we will be adding our planned circles in the near future. Our goal is to have the opportunity to see and visit with as many of you as possible as we strive to be worthy of this honor. <BR>

Although we will be traveling to many areas it is still not possible for us to see all the activities and deeds of our populace. We need your help! When you see someone doing things that impress you, inspire you, amaze you, encourage you, or make you happy, look them up in the Order of Precedence, see if they have an award for that. Greetings unto the Awesome Kingdom of Ansteorra!<BR>
We are happy to announce that the Royal Hunter Champion will be selected at Vindheim Missile Academy II (VMA-II) on May 31st at Cottonwood Flats 508 N 5th St, Guthrie, OK 73044.<BR>
This Championship is going to be different from any other Royal Hunter Championship in the past.<BR>
We are requiring a Letter of Intent be sent to [trm@crown.ansteorra.org](mailto:trm@crown.ansteorra.org) no later than 11pm CDT on Friday, May 16th, stating their interest in competing for and being considered for becoming our Royal Hunter.<BR>
So, how will this be different? We are not going to be relying on a single competition to decide who our Champion is. This will be determined by the activities of the entire day. Activities include marshalling, teaching, participating, Arts & Sciences, scores for shooting and throwing, Combat Archery, and Siege. <BR>
All the things are important to us and our Champion will be selected based on how we believe they represent all the things. We will be watching and evaluating all day to determine who will become our Royal Hunter.<BR>
Expectations of our Royal Hunter: Attend us in Court whenever they are present. Teach, lead, and participate throughout the missile community. Plan, design, and be prepared to run the next Royal Hunter Championship, in accordance with the wishes of our heirs.<BR>

Greetings Ansteorra. We would like to invite everyone to our summer crown tournament. All entrances must send a letter of intent to TRM@crown.ansteorra.org and fill out the registration form from the seneschal, it will be posted soon. Letters of intent AND registration are due by May 23rd at 11pm CDT. <BR><BR>
Crown format: The initial fights will be round robin format with 4 pools of fighters. All pools will be chosen at random by the fighters during the procession. These fights will be a single point, bring your best. The top 2 of each pool will advance to the next round.<BR><BR>
The Round of 8 fighters will be random pairings, best 2 of 3 with the weapon style being a bastard sword between 4 and 5 feet in length. Butt spikes and thrusting tips are allowed. <BR><BR>
The Round of 4 fighters will be random pairings, best 2 of 3 with the weapon style being a glaive between 6 and 7.5 feet in length. Butt spikes and thrusting tips are allowed. <BR><BR>
For these rounds side arms will be prohibited. <BR><BR>
The finals will be best 3 of 5 and fighters choice. <BR><BR>

Greetings Ansteorra!

What a wonderful way to start the New Year. Becoming the new Prince and Princess, witnessing Coronet Tourney and seeing a new Coronet. We have several great events and awesome regional fighter practices hat have been happening. Laurels Prize Tournament is happening in February which is a great display of all the awesome artists that Ansteorra has. In March we get to travel to Gulf Wars and compete against our friends and foes to hone our skills and talents. We look forward to this opportunity to travel a support our Kingdom.

We look forward to seeing many of you at the upcoming events this month. Our progress is on the Kingdom calendar.

March 2025 Black Star

Greetings Ansteorra!

The new year is shaping up to be a banner year for Ansteorra! We have had events, classes, awards, elevations, and so much fun! LPT was a great success. Our artisans showed some of their skills and some of our Laurels got an opportunity to sit down with them and visit and help them see ways to advance their art and skill.

This brings up something important to us and our plans for our reign, we want to highlight our many fine artisans. One of the ways that we will be doing this is that we want to give kits and games for our newcomer gifts. Kits will be small A&S type kits, with instructions and the name and contact information of the person donating it. We have bags to put stuff in, now we need stuff to put in them!

Gulf Wars preparation is in progress. Kick the tires, check the oil, load the trailer, repair armor, pack up the A&S supplies, and plan for shopping, visiting, friends, and parties! There are so many things to plan for and do at Gulf Wars. We hope everyone has a great time and safe travels.

Remember, opening ceremonies and the Champions battle are on Sunday at the beginning of Gulf Wars, not on Tuesday. Things are going to start earlier and may be on different days than you are used to, so be sure to read the schedule and plan your trip.

Greetings Ansteorra,

We had a great time at Gulf Wars! We were able to witness so many acts of valor, honor, service, artistry, skills, and camaraderie it was inspiring. We were honored to participate in many of the activities and and share in the joy of working together to not only win War Points but to forge friendships and bonds that extend beyond the fields and activities of Gulf War. We hope everyone that was able to attend had a great time and got to participate in all the things. As we return from the great war, drums grow quiet, our feet recover, and we get to relax for a moment, we look to the future. Coronation is fast approaching where we will claim our right to step up as King and Queen and serve this Great Kingdom once again. We plan to travel throughout our lands and attend as many events as we can. Our progress is currently on the Kingdom Calendar and we will be adding our planned circles in the near future. Our goal is to have the opportunity to see and visit with as many of you as possible as we strive to be worthy of this honor.

Although we will be traveling to many areas it is still not possible for us to see all the activities and deeds of our populace. We need your help! When you see someone doing things that impress you, inspire you, amaze you, encourage you, or make you happy, look them up in the Order of Precedence, see if they have an award for that. Put in awards whenever you can, you do not have to have the award yourself in order to put someone in for an award through AMP. If they have made an impression on you, let us know! We will review all the award recommendations that are submitted.

Greetings Ansteorra,

They say that the third time's a charm, but we decided that we deserved a do over from our last reign! We would like to thank Their Graces JP & Gilyan for their hard work, service, and for spending so much time working to coordinate with us as we prepared to take the reins from them.

We are entering our busy event season and have a schedule to match. As we travel our great Kingdom we are looking forward to seeing old friends and making new ones. One of the amazing things that we have the honor of doing is recognizing people for all the wonderful things they do. Unfortunately, we do not get to see everything that everyone does. This is where we need your help! When you see someone doing something awesome, take a few minutes to go to AMP and submit a recommendation so that we know about it too! If you need help getting started, reach out to someone and if you don’t know who to talk to, email us and we will make sure you get help.

We are looking forward to some terrific events this month, including Queen’s Champion! Thank you to all those that have already helped and to those that have offered support in the future.

Greetings unto the Awesome Kingdom of Ansteorra!
We are happy to announce that the Royal Hunter Champion will be selected at Vindheim Missile Academy II (VMA-II) on May 31st at Cottonwood Flats 508 N 5th St, Guthrie, OK 73044.
This Championship is going to be different from any other Royal Hunter Championship in the past.
We are requiring a Letter of Intent be sent to [trm@crown.ansteorra.org](mailto:trm@crown.ansteorra.org) no later than 11pm CDT on Friday, May 16th, stating their interest in competing for and being considered for becoming our Royal Hunter.
So, how will this be different? We are not going to be relying on a single competition to decide who our Champion is. This will be determined by the activities of the entire day. Activities include marshalling, teaching, participating, Arts & Sciences, scores for shooting and throwing, Combat Archery, and Siege.
All the things are important to us and our Champion will be selected based on how we believe they represent all the things. We will be watching and evaluating all day to determine who will become our Royal Hunter.
Expectations of our Royal Hunter: Attend us in Court whenever they are present. Teach, lead, and participate throughout the missile community. Plan, design, and be prepared to run the next Royal Hunter Championship, in accordance with the wishes of our heirs.

Words of the Crown

April 26, 2025

Greetings Ansteorra. We would like to invite everyone to our summer crown tournament. All entrances must send a letter of intent to TRM@crown.ansteorra.org and fill out the registration form from the seneschal, it will be posted soon. Letters of intent AND registration are due by May 23rd at 11pm CDT.

Crown format: The initial fights will be round robin format with 4 pools of fighters. All pools will be chosen at random by the fighters during the procession. These fights will be a single point, bring your best. The top 2 of each pool will advance to the next round.

The Round of 8 fighters will be random pairings, best 2 of 3 with the weapon style being a bastard sword between 4 and 5 feet in length. Butt spikes and thrusting tips are allowed.

The Round of 4 fighters will be random pairings, best 2 of 3 with the weapon style being a glaive between 6 and 7.5 feet in length. Butt spikes and thrusting tips are allowed.

For these rounds side arms will be prohibited.

The finals will be best 3 of 5 and fighters choice.
