Greetings to our beloved Ansteorrans!

Soon we shall witness the glory that is crown tournament. With much thought we have determined the following format for our Crown Tournament to be held on June 8th 2024.

We will begin with pools of round robin, single fight, and the number of pools will be determined by the number of entrants. The top 8 individuals with the best win/loss records will advance to a single elimination best 2 of 3 bracketed quarter finals. The final fight shall be a best 3 out of 5. Weapon style for all fights is bring your best. Weapon style legality should be verified with the Kingdom Earl Marshal.

In order to enter our crown tournament we will require only the following be met as of the day of crown tournament. You may register with the Seneschal's office prior to the day of the tournament which is preferred but is not required.

• The society corpora minimal requirements for entrance into crown tournament.
• Established residency in Ansteorra for at least 2 years.
• The fighter must have a valid authorization as a heavy fighter for a minimum of 2 years.
• Attended all of the following within the last 2 years as of the day of crown tournament: Financial Policy Class, Seneschal Class, and at least 1 DEIB Class. (Note: These classes are available online)
• Has read in its entirety Corpora and Kingdom Law within the last year.
• Be able to exhibit a good working knowledge of SCA structure, kingdom structure, the powers and responsibilities of the Crown, and other major kingdom offices as defined in Corpora and Kingdom Law. This may include demonstrating your knowledge via a question about the documents to the crown during procession.
• A member of any bestowed peerage order who will speak for them at crown tournament procession or a written letter to be presented at crown tournament procession.
• Be a member in good standing within the society and kingdom.
• Any member who has any current sanctions as of the day of the crown tournament will not be allowed entrance into the list nor will they be allowed to have any impact on the list (marshaling, list table etc.).
• Letters of intent are not required but note that if verification of the requirements are not available the day of the tournament, entrance will not be granted into the list.

During our request for commentary we have noticed a trend in which many of our populace members feel that their award recommendations are not being read or that they feel the crown is ignoring their submissions. We will always read every award recommendation and give it full consideration no matter who is submitting the award request, who you are requesting the award for, or what level the award you are recommending. However, we have found that the award recommendation system has been altered and is not working as intended. This may be causing your award recommendation to not be submitted to the crown despite it appearing to do so in the UI. As such, we have tasked several skilled IT Engineers to review the award recommendation system and give it an overhaul. This will take several months to complete.

In the meantime, any populace member no matter their rank is welcome to email their award recommendation(s) directly to trm@crown.ansteorra.org if they are in doubt that the system worked correctly. This email can contain multiple awards to make these easier on the individual requesting them. We wish to recognize as many Ansteorrans as we possibly can for their excellent good deeds during our reign so please submit as many awards as you wish.

My chemise was made by Mistress Adelaide de Bourbon and Mistress Jeanne Marie la Verriere. My necklace is by Mistress Amelot Lisette. My earrings were made by Mistress Michelle Chantal de Charente. There was a genius net partlet that Mistress Ameline du Bois made which is not pictured here.
