Greetings Vindheim,

Here is the list of entrants and consorts for the Vindheim Winter Coronet on February 10. Vivat to all of them for their willingness to serve our great Principality. May the fights be epic and the day be filled with honor and chivalry.

Tournament Format

The 2025 Summer Coronet Tournament format is as follows:
We will be fighting a Swiss 5, using the common conventions of the Rapier field. This means that each combatant must use each of the 5 styles, but the fighters need not match styles with their opponents and can be used in any order of their choosing so long as each style is used once per fighter.

After the Swiss 5, we will go into a final, Bring Your Best bracket to determine the winner. (The amount of fights per round and size of the final bracket will be determined by the number of entrants and will be announced the day of the tournament if not sooner.)

The Five Styles will be:

  • 2 Weapon (no madu)
  • Sword and Madu
  • 4 Foot Great Weapon
  • 6 Foot Great Weapon
  • Sword and Buckler (no greater than 12" diameter in any direction)


Prince's Champion Tournament Format

All authorized fighters are welcome to register the List. Only entrants residing in Vindheim will be eligible to win the championship.

Fighters may choose to enter even if they are unable or unwilling to perform the duties of champion. Entrants who do not wish to compete for the championship must announce as much before the P&P as well as the marshal in Charge. Entrants who wish to compete shall be assigned a number. Entrants who do not wish to compete will be assigned a letter. Part the first shall last 30 minutes and will be a “meat grinder”, with the pairings randomly assigned by line. Both victor and the defeated will exit the list after one pass. Points shall be assigned only to the victor, and only if they bear a number. In the case of a double kill, or the victor bearing a letter, no points shall be assigned. The victor will tell an attendant their number or letter as they exit the list. Each entrant shall choose their own arms, except no entrant may bear a shield. After 30 minutes of combat have elapsed the two entrants, bearing numbers with the two highest scores shall reaffirm their willingness and ability to serve as champion. If both entrants choose to proceed, after a space of 10 minutes, they will move on to part the second. If one or both are unable or unwilling to serve as champion the next highest scoring, numbered entrant(s) will be selected for part the second. Part the second, two willing, numbered fighters shall participate in the final round of combat.

The Finals will consist of up to 5 passes, with the champion being the first to win three passes. Entrants in the Finals may choose their own arms, except no entrant may bear a shield. The entrant who wins the finals will be selected as Chivalric champion. " No "To be determined.

Princess's Champion Tournament Format

Part the first shall best two passes of three, with pairings randomly assigned with double kills refought. Entrants may choose their own arms. Both victor and the defeated will exit the list after one bout. Part the first shall be a double elimination tournament, and entrants will fight a different opponent for the 2nd set of bouts. As needed the Princess shall select a fighter as a By. The entrants who were victorious in each bracket of the tournament shall reaffirm their willingness and ability to serve as champion. If one or both are unable or unwilling to serve as champion the next highest placed, willing entrant(s) from the same bracket shall be selected for part the second. Part the second, two willing, able entrants shall participate in the final bout of combat. The Finals will consist of up to 5 passes, with the champion being the first entrant to win three passes. Entrants in the Finals may choose their own arms. The entrant who wins the finals will be selected as rapier champion.
