Once time, at Gulf War, Anastasiia saw Donnchadh head to the showers in the middle of the day. Anastasiia knew that Donnchadh doesn’t take showers in the middle of the day, he melts! So she followed him! He was going to turn off the water! Why would he do that, she thought to her self? Then she say that Caterina was walking to the shower tent, covered in mud, and she knew the answer. She waited till Donnchadh left the area, and turned the water back on! She is such a good friend!

My family's first Gulf Wars was... Confusing. Don't get me wrong, we had a wonderful time, but there's a lot to take in! One of my fondest memories is of Anastasiia sharing her good quality coffee, and even better quality conversation, with us each morning.

Anastasiia is one of those bright spirits that lift up everyone around them. Her enthusiasm for whatever she is doing makes you want to jump in and do it to - she's even gotten me to ponder the idea of fighting rapier (#NotGonnaHappen - but I thought about it)! She's also an absurdly determined artisan. Doesn't know how to do a thing? Teaches herself and does astonishingly well at it. The goldwork embroidery she has done makes my jaw drop. I appreciate her willingness to be involved in collaborative shenanigans, and I'm so glad she's a part of my SCA experience!
