Guilds and Colleges

In SCA around the known world we encourage people with shared interests to join together in Colleges and guilds. You can generally think of them as every variation of Arts & Sciences groups.

Individual lands might have their own local guilds, or that art might only have a guild or group at the kingdom level. They might be general guilds or something more specific. For instance, In the barony of Bryn Gwlad people with interests in; glassblowing, torch work, enameling and cloisonné, glazing technique, throwing pottery, slab building clay forms, sculpture and clay carving, can all find a home with the Bryn Gwlad Flameworkers Guild

How to Join a guild

Go join their mailing list, facebook group, or discord server. Hang out, and decide if you want to join in their reindeer games. If you do, you are in a guild. Welcome!

Sometimes guilds require some sort of sign in, attendance, or project completion to "officially" join. But in Ansteorra those are the exception, not the rule.
