It was initially called the Shire of Paiscumbre, but that name was returned by Laurel in 1977 [3].

Awards

The barony has had two baronial service orders: the Order of the Halberd of Bryn Gwlad, which was open from August, 1979, through February, 1988 and then briefly on October 30th, 2004, and the Order of the Dreigiau Bryn, which was open from February, 1989 until October 20th, 2004, and has been open again since February, 2005.
