Timeline of Activity:

I joined the SCA in 1990. I had been looking for the group for years - lured on by occasional photos in the Sunday newspaper of chivalric fighters in Bergfeld Park. One day I saw a flier in a bookstore with contact information. Finally, found! The rest is history. Rosenfeld was only an incipient shire and a very small group when I joined in February of 1990. Because we were so small, the need for willing officers was critical. By May of 1990, I was Seneschal and Acting Chronicler. This was when there was no such thing as email or internet or cell phones. I wrote many a long missive to the then Kingdom Seneschal Baron Bran de Tintreak. By the end of 1991, Rosenfeld was officially a shire. I'd like to say I had a hand in that. Heart and hands.

Now that the elation has subsided somewhat, it is meet and right to recognize those individuals who made possible what was a glorious day that I will long remember. If I have forgotten to state your name, be assured that your service was noted and appreciated.

First to thank would be His Grace Sven Randullsson and Her Excellency Cristyana Lambrecht who saw in me those qualities worthy of peerage. Sometimes a person does not see what others do. Thank you for your encouragement, your confidence, and your all-seeing eyes. I am honored and proud to be counted as worthy.

Thank you to those peers who spoke before His Majesty Gabriel of Maccuswell , the nobility of Ansteorra, and the Ansteorran populace as witnesses for me. Numbered among those peers are Master Robin of Gilwell, Master Tostig Logiosophia, Master Sir John of Severn , Mistress Ameline du Bois, Duchess Ebergardis von Zell, Mistress Rhiannon ferch Cian, Mistress Zubeydah Al-Badawiyyah, and Mistress Saundra of Loch Raeburn whose words were read in the presence of all. The words spoken by these esteemed gentles both amazed and honored me beyond measure. Thank you from the depths of my heart.

Thank you to those gentles who created my vigil space, attended to my every need during the vigil, and provided wonderful sweets to share. The day was graced by your hard work and vision which made my vision perfect. Included are my apprentice Caterina Bella Rosso, Adelaide de Bourbon, Ameline, Zubeydah, my son Logan Wilson, Johann Klaus von Heildelberg, Eoun of Rosenfeld, Calanna di Nero Rosa, and Adian McCrae .

Thank you to those gentles who formed my procession into court, carrying my banners and regalia: Calena, Zubeydah, Johann, Elina Ulfsdottir, Emma Farewyll, Brígiða Jónsdóttir, Gird Truthsayer, and Logan – on whose arm I was escorted into court.

Thank you to musician and former Kingdom Bard Elizabetha de Picardia who graced all with her lovely music and to Robin Carrot for the absolutely fantastic heralding into court of my processional party.

Thank you to all those who assured that I was beautifully and properly attired: Cristyana, Beatrix Funteyn, Ameline, and most of all – Mistress Dyan du lac Calendres. Even though you abide now in heaven, your heart and hand guided me through this entire journey. You abide in my heart always. I love you all.
