It has been fantastic to see so many of you at Principality events over the last few months!
There have been exciting things happening in the Principality and the Kingdom that we have
been privileged to share with you. <BR><BR>
First, their Royal Majesties have Heirs! A festive Crown Tourney was held with much
pageantry and participation. Vivat to Their Stellar Highnesses Creppin l'Ostriche and Toryn
Sevenstitches for their victory at Crown Tourney. May their reign be successful and enjoyable
for all! <BR><BR>
Second, we have been able to see so many smiling faces since Gulf Wars telling us about the fun
they had at War and all of their accomplishments since. The hospitality shown to us at
Wiesenfeuer Baronial was fantastic. We were nearly blown away by the kindness of the
populace and their Excellencies! Weisenfeuer Baronial saw the unveiling of three of the new
Principality recognitions: The Order of the Crimson Bowl, The Order of the Silver Fountain of
Vindheim, and The Order of the Wellspring. As a reminder, an Order is joined once, but an
Award may be earned multiple times. <BR><BR>
The Order of the Crimson Bowl is the Principality citizenship award. This award is to recognize
those who do not reside within the lands of Vindheim who hold the fire and spirit of the
Principality within them and work for the betterment of Vindheim. It may be granted only twice
during each Coronet reign and comes with privileges for the holders. It allows them to
participate in polling for the Principality and allows them to compete to serve as a ceremonial
champion for Vindheim. An individual may only receive this recognition once. We have chosen
Michelle Chantal de Charente and Asoph Hearts as the premiers of this Order. <BR><BR>
The Order of the Silver Fountain is to recognize those who use performance art to serve the
people around them. These are the bards and the singers, the heralds who cry announcements
and pairings or paint colorful verbal pictures of those who are processing in, the musicians whose
talent contributes towards the ambiance. Service to the people of the principality is service to the
Coronet and deserves to be recognized. We have chosen Owen ap Aeddan as the premier for this
Order.<BR><BR>
 
The Order of the Wellspring of Vindheim is to bring recognition to those who use
their artistic skills as service, for the betterment of the Principality and its people.
Those who make the banners, scrolls or site tokens that we all use and enjoy at
events. Those who lend their skill to others to ensure they're well-dressed and
armored. For those who open their homes and workshops to teach and assist those
around them. This award is for those who serve through their art. We have
chosen Zubeydah Al-Badawiyyah as the premier for the Order.<BR><BR>
We are looking forward to attending Namron's Beltane to share in the day's
events and speak with you all. Those who attend will witness the unveiling of
three more Principality awards. We invite each and every one of you to attend
and take part!<BR><BR>
May holds Northkeep's Castellan and Calontir's Valor which we will be attending.
Castellan's event is always a great time and we encourage all who can go to
participate. Calontir, our neighbor to the North, is kind enough to extend a hand
of invitation for their event and we plan to go with as many Principality members
as can make the journey. Our Calontir friends stood with us at Gulf and helped us
to victory. Let us help them make this event one they will remember for many
years!<BR><BR>
Finally, June is in sight, where we hope to see you firstly at Myrgenfeld's cooking
collegium, and then at the second Coronet tournament soon after. We know it will
be a day of festivity, love and fighting to choose our successors. The format of the
tournament has been posted on the Principality Facebook group. We will use this
as a reminder that letters of intent must be delivered to us and the Principality
Seneschal no later than midnight June 11, 2022, and must include information
regarding how you would like your champion tourney to be run.<BR><BR>
We look forward to speaking with each and every one of you at the upcoming
events. It is a pleasure being able to serve you, the Principality, and Ansteorra as
the Coronet of Vindheim.<BR><BR>

January - February

Item Description
Words of the Coronet Greetings to the Populace of Vindheim!

We could not be more excited to begin a new year with this new principality!

There are great opportunities and events scheduled, both close to home and beyond our borders. We are asking the populace to be a visible presence with their travel, and be ambassadors to the rest of Ansteorra, Calontir, and beyond.

Winter War Maneuvers is an exciting opportunity to visit with our good friends to the north. Gulf Wars will allow us to display our Vindheim pride to the Knowne World. Spring Coronation will allow us to support the Heirs of Ansteorra as they assume the thrones and work with us to further develop our future.

We highly encourage any populace who is attending Gulf Wars to pre-register. If you are fighting, Elfsea is hosting Sable Legionnaire on Saturday, January 29th, and the Steppes is hosting Sable Soldier on Sunday, January 30th. Winter War Maneuvers is in Calontir on Saturday, February 19th. All are good opportunities to get some extra war practice in, depending on your preferred combat style.

Our own progress is listed on the Ansteorran event calendar. We look forward to seeing everyone out and about, and talking to you about what you see for the future of the Principality and the directions people envision different elements might take.

I was making gingerbread stars for the Princess' Tea at Wiesenfeuer Yule, and it occurred to me-- the people of Vindheim are like the stars of a constellation. Everyone has their place-- in a good, belonging kind of way-- and being able to look out at the people and see the familiar faces is as reassuring as being able to look up into a familiar night sky.

At the same time, the people of Vindheim themselves are each like their own individual constellations. Each person is different, and is made up of their own special mix of interests, pursuits, and prowess, and that makes us each unique. But the things we pursue and spend our energy on cultivating--- when I see those patterns in those around me, it's like recognizing the stars of a familiar constellation.

It was good to see everyone yesterday. Thank you for sharing the day with us. Thank you for being the stars in my sky.

Gulf Wars is nigh!

We hope to see everyone in our fair Principality at Gulf Wars and know we'll have a fantastic time supporting the Kingdom at War. With fighters of all types, our talented artisans, and those who give so much of their time in service to make the War run well, the Principality will show the Known World what we can do.

For those whom this is their first Gulf Wars, and for the rest of us who haven't been in a few years, be sure to bring clothing for all types of weather.

Remember to stay hydrated.

Enjoy your shopping.

And be certain to share your enthusiasm and goodwill with all you meet.
