General Information:

Persona History:

I was born in the the Kingdom of Jerusalem, in the year of our Lord 1280. My father, a knight of The House of Lusignan, served the Holy King Hugh I of Jerusalem, and then his successor and eldest son - King John II of Jerusalem - until the fall of the capital city of Acre.

My youth was fairly typical of a knight's son. I had friends. We played at joust and war, went to mass, and learned our letters and numbers. Being only eleven years of age or so at the time of the siege, I was allowed passage away from the city with my mother. My father stayed behind and defended the walls and the exodus. He was killed there by the Saracen slave army.

After the escape from Jerusalem, my mother and I were escorted to the Kingdom of Cyprus, where my father’s house ruled. However, in 1306, King Henri was deposed by his brother Guy of Tyre. Because my mother's family had long supported Henri, we were once again compelled to flee our home. We boarded a ship and made our way towards Provence in the Kingdom of Arles. Supporters of Pope Clement and Henri were welcome here since the King of France had no love for The Temple Order which aided Guy’s overthrow. However, my mother did not survive the trip. I settled in a village between Avignon and Aix. A few years later, Pope Clement moved the Papacy to Avignon and acquired many lands nearby for the Church, including mine. This meant my tithes and taxes went to the Church. I'm not a very good farmer. Also, I'm prone to spending time in taverns. Both of those things resulted in me being a member of the laity in not particularly good standing. This meant I went on pilgrimage often.

During one particular pilgrimage, I came upon a vast land where many different peoples and cultures from all over the globe had come to live peacefully, and adhere to a code of generosity and chivalry. Knights and Masters of all trades were free to do as they pleased. They served the people and the kingdom.

I stayed on pilgrimage there.
