Lady Jeanne Marie la Verriere
Name History: When I first joined the SCA in the Barony of Calafia, Kingdom of Caid, a friend gave me the SCA name of 'Rhiannon' after a science-fiction hero from a book that I apparently resembled. I had this name for about 2 years before I officially changed it to Jeanne-Marie and decided on a specific persona. **Although it is more correct to write it as 'Jeanne Marie', I prefer the hyphenated 'Jeanne-Marie.'

I began in the SCA in Caid in my junior year in high school in 1991, when my best friend met an SCA'er in her after school drafting program, and was invited to an SCA event (Potrero War.) My bestie took me, and the rest is history. I left the SCA in 2000 for a few years after a bad breakup and returned when I moved here in 2005"

I have lived in the Barony of Altavia, and the Barony of Drieburgen, but Calafia was my primary home. While in Calafia, I participated with the College, with the Stronghold of Dun Na Mara Fianna (I think it became called the Stronghold of Warrior Valley) and with the Canton of Summergate then I moved here, and been active in Bryn Gwlad ever since.)
