Founding
- October 13, 2021: The Incipient Riding of Marata entered the official 'observation period' towards becoming an official group.
Name and Heraldry
The name Marata was one of those offered up for the Principality of Vindheim. Marata was one of the names given to the general area of the central Midwest found on a map from 1492.
The heraldry, Quarterly sable and gules, a windmill within a laurel wreath, a bordure Or, was designed by Zubeydah Al-Badawiyyah, based on elements taken from past groups in the area and the (then) Incipient Principality of Vindheim.
