There is not one story of HE Caterina Giovanni di Gilead but many. I can not single one out. For to me she is Mamma Cat, my SCA mom. Caterina welcomed me into her family early on and I have been one of her "daughters" for over 4 years. She is funny, kind, generous, and knows to always hand me a glass of wine. Caterina is one who has inspired me to have "helium hand" as she is always hard at work. Setting up or tearing down at an event, feastocrat, autocrat, she is ALWAYS doing something. She is one of the most amazing and beautiful people I know inside and out

While at Gulf Wars one year, Caterina Giovanni di Gilead thought that playing in mud puddles would be a GREAT IDEA! So much fun, in fact, that she convinced others to join her. SOON, there were 10 people jumping in the mud. Then, 20, 50, 100 people covered in mud, now in need of a shower! Where was Caterina though... She had already made off to Namron camp, to the shower.

I can confirm Kyna's story. Caterina is always a little muddy. And for the record, I have never chased Cat with a broken glow stick. Vicious rumor!
She is also one of the hardest working people in the SCA who I know. Her hand is permanently fixed in the "up" position.
