Persona History:

Ottokar Luther v. Holstein was born Sept. 1 1374, the illegitimate son of the Duke of Holstein to the wife of the Captain of his guard. I spent the majority of my youth in Lubeck, Germany. When I became of age, my father gave me a small pension and sent me to the Prussian Military Academy. When I graduated from academy in 1390, I was entitled to be an officer in the Imperial army. I, however, chose to go home and was hired on by the free city of Lubeck to lead a detachment of guards. I was assigned to caravan duty with the Hansa and made several trips all over the known world. As the pay was good and I had my pension, I was eventually able to save enough money to put together my own caravan. I applied for, and was granted, sponsorship from the Hansanistic League in 1399. After 2 small caravans to the East, I was well enough off to hire three caravan masters and run caravans to London, Rome, and Constanople. I bought one of my fathers estates outside of Lubeck in the summer of 1402 and purchased my blood-right that winter from the Holy Roman Emperor. In 1403, my father recognized me publicly and granted me another estate just outside Berlin. As of the winter of 1404, my lordship has been recognized by the Holy Roman Emperor, the King of Bohemia, the King of Denmark and many of the Noble families of the Rike including the Habsbergs and the Hosenhoffs. I have applied for letters of recognition from the Vatican but as of now no word has been sent.
