The Award of the Thunderbolt
(Fieldless) A thunderbolt gules winged Or.
The Award of the Thunderbolt of Vindheim is a nonarmigerous level award given by the Vindheim Coronet(s) unto such persons who have distinguished themselves to the Coronet in an extraordinary fashion.
Original: The Award of the Crimson Firebolt - For those who have shown an example of prowess or inspiration in their respective marshallate field as witnessed by the Vindheim Coronet(s).
Updated September 2022 by 2nd Vindheim Coronet: For those who have shown an example of phenomenal prowess, extraordinary artistry, or remarkable service.
The Award shall be non-armigerous and carry no rank or precedence beyond any other Vindheim award or honor.
Prince Jean Paul de Sens wrote the scroll text for the award during their reign:
The skalds say when our ancestors came to this land, storms and winds, rain and fire beset them. As they learned to dwell in harmony, the fire and lightning became warmth and delight. The joy in the ferocity, the speed, and the power of Odin’s spear became a symbol of those who excelled in the moment. One such person is <Lillias MacGuffin>, who’s actions have caused the notice of the rulers, Jean Paul and Gilyan, first of that name, heirs to Romanius and Deanna, the Founders. For <name>'s exceptional nature, they are added to the order of the Thunderbolt, Odin’s favorites, and beacons for Vindheims people. Sing their praise, for they are favored on this day.
Created by Romanius Vesperianus and Deanna della Penna, April 30, LVI, AD 2022.
Revised by Jean-Paul de Sens and Gilyan Clonmacnoise, September 17, LVII, AD 2022.
