Persona History:

Anne Wyatt was born into a comfortable, though not immensely wealthy, gentry family in Surrey. Her childhood at Downsview Grange was typical for a girl of her standing. She received an education in household management, needlework, and music, but her mother, Lady Marilyn, also ensured she had a tutor who taught her to read and write in English, French, and a smattering of Latin. This slightly more advanced education, coupled with her natural intelligence and quiet observation skills, set her apart. She was known even in youth for her serene demeanor and sharp wit, often masked by a demure smile. Her family's connections, while not top-tier, allowed her to visit relatives and gain some exposure to the larger world beyond Surrey.

In 1520, at the age of 14, Anne was sent to court as a lady-in-waiting to one of Queen Catherine of Aragon's more senior ladies, Lady Elizabeth Blount (mother of Henry FitzRoy). This was a common path for young noblewomen to gain polish, make advantageous connections, and eventually secure a good marriage. Eleanor quickly adapted to the demanding courtly life, observing the intricate dances of power and favor.

Although initially serving in the household of Catharine of Aragon, as Anne Boleyn rose through the ranks, Anne navigated these tumultuous waters with cautious diplomacy. She observed Anne Boleyn's ascent with a mixture of curiosity and apprehension.

Anne's quiet observation skills allowed her to glean much from court gossip and whispers. She was known for her ability to listen more than she spoke, making her a trusted confidante for those who sought an ear without judgment. This made her surprisingly well-informed without appearing overtly ambitious.

Timeline of Activity:

Anne joined the SCA in 2021 following her husband Sæbjørn Í Eyðigarði who came back to the SCA after a long break. Her first event in the Shadowlands did not scare her off but intrigued her-- especially the outfits! She began to attend more and more events, slowly getting more involved. Her first entourage shift was at Bryn Gwlad baronial in 2022 for their excellencies Gavin and Wentiliana. She was hooked on service and tries to volunteer at every event for entourage. When Sæbjørn was appointed Golden Staff, that opened up more doors and Anne also started to do entourage for Queen Antigone. In fall of 2024, Anne was authorized as a Thrown Weapons Marshal and she continues to study axes, knives and spears and has competed in many events so far.
