- The Thunderbolt of Vindheim: The Tale of Siggi's Thunderbolt, as told by Viscount Micauley Morison: During the Castle Battle this year at Gulf Wars, our tremendous Allies from Calontir were slotted to take the role of the "hammer" to knock their way through the front door of the castle. However, one of the biggest difficulties of that job is that the attacking unit is quite vulnerable to combat archers. Calontir's army had resolved themselves to heavy losses, but the Free Company noticed an opportunity to cover our allies, by putting War Boards (our large war shields) over the crenellations of the castle. This position is difficult to do physically, and one that is not glamorous or exciting. But holding a shield over those crenellations meant that Siggi and Ajax, as two relative newcomers, could shield Calontir's army from significant damage at the cost of a night of lumbar back pain. His Serene Highness Romanius, ever the tactician, noted the contribution of the Free Company and Siggi in particular, for taking up a thankless position for the sake of our victory, and acknowledged his efforts during court at Gulf Wars.
