Persona History:

My persona is largely determined by who I'm with and what the weather is. In hot weather, I'm all about Roman and Greek attire simply because I don't roast in Texas. Officially, my family is late period Scot, Kein MacEwan is my brother. However, I married a Norseman, so my court attire is generally a Norse lady's.

Timeline of Activity:

Started in SCA when I was 18, 1983 in Bordermarch. Learned rapier fighting from Don Simonn of Amber Isle. Belly danced competitively for many years. Autocrat of a quest at BAM in 1985 ish. Worked gate, did water bearing, marshalled both rapier and heavy, did a lot of leather working. Moved to Meridies for about 6 months. Made it to Pennsic that year, 1986. Won a belly dance competition at Pennsic.

Moved to Bryn Gwlad. Lived there from 1987 to 2017. Went to unofficial rapier practices weekly because I couldn't get anyone to fight with me at the official ones. Did a lot of gate duty, water bearing, dancing, fought heavy for a short time, raised kids which meant giving up a lot of stuff so my husband could fight. Around 2012 or so, started doing more archery. I'd learned as a teen at 14, but started going to practices regularly and competing in tourneys around 2014. Moved out to kingdom lands in 2017. Won a novice tourney at Steppes in 2019. Got qualified as a marshal that year in thrown weapons and competed in my first thrown weapons tourney in 2019 at WotR. Came in third after Marco and Romanius. Started an archery practice in Dragonsfire Tor with my husband in 2019, and was getting trained as an archery MIT. Added thrown weapons to the practice once I was an authorized thrown marshal.

Got authorized to be an archery marshal. After COVID, Dragonsfire Tor died as a group, and my husband Joe/Grimolfr and I started attending practices in Hellsgate. In Nov 2023, Lord Eric Bentbow, the only authorized marshal in Hellsgate, died. We ran the practices for a few months. I took over as the Hellsgate Missile Marshal in Jan 2024. Established thrown weapons as part of the practice with help from Lord Johan of Hellsgate who had just gotten authorized as a thrown weapons marshal.

Stepped down as Hellsgate Missile Marshal in Jan 2026 and Johan stepped up. He was my MIT for a while, and is now an authorized archery as well as thrown weapons marshal.

Currently, I'm serving as Deputy Kingdom Thrown Weapons Marshal to John of York and Arcarius to Count Romanius since WotR 2024.

Notable Contributions or Accomplishments:

• Winner, Bjornsburg Thrown Weapons championship 2025. Ran the next tourney in 2026.
