On The Spurs Received at Knighthood

The words of the most beloved Tessa of the Gardens:
May it please Your Majesties, I have spurs to offer.r These spurs originally belonged to Sir Rrandall von Nordlichvald, who was knighted while Ansteorra was a Region in Atenveldt, March 13, 1977.
Within three months, Randall passed these spurs to his brother and friend, Simonn of Amber Isle, who was knighted on June 26, 1977.
In 1978, Randall was to become the 2nd Prince of the Principality of Ansteorra.
In 1978, Simonn was to become the 3rd and final Prince of the Principality of Ansteorra, the Reign which lead to Kingdom status.
In 1984, Simonn became the 9th King of Ansteorra, and wore these spurs throughout Our Reign.
In 1985, he put the spurs away for posterity, inside this embroidered bag who's original needle artisan's name has been lost to antiquity.
1985 was a lifetime ago...
Randall and Simonn have both gone to their eternal rewards.
This day, April 4, 2026, in approval with Meurik's knight, I offer this piece of history to our grandson, Meurik the Humble. Blessed to do so,

Yes, my Liege Crown, I am Tessa, Lion of Ansteorra, Defender of the Dream.
Meurik honors me tremendously and sincerely by asking me to speak in his behalf.
Meurik the Humble is rightly named.
I have known him since his day one in the Society and have always found him to protect and provide for others.
He thinks of others first, before himself.
I could speak about his virtues for an hour and lack the time to fully describe his kindness, his thoughtfulness, his provision, his effort, his example, his defense, his protection, his leadership/service, his deep caring, his strength mixed with his gentleness, and of course his honor and prowess as a fighter and a teacher.
Meurik has come to my aid literally more times than I can remember; particularly in the recent two-and-a-half years. I am very biased, speaking here as Meurik's grandparent. I declare sincerely that at no other time in my life have I been as proud nor excited to bear witness for one who is a candidate for peerage.
This good man is - Meurik, you are - my Peer.
