OP Listing: Elsa von Schammach

Persona History

  • 15c Germany: Born German
  • Learned Textiles from friends in my early days in Mooneschadowe
  • Learned Glass from Bea
  • Apprenticed to a Glass-working Dane/Saxon Silversmith of the Kudzu
  • Married a Milanese Centurion

As written out for the Sable Swap Round 2 (9-27-12):

Elsa was born in Germany to a family of lesser nobility who discarded their honors in sympathy with the Hussite Rebellion (early 15th c). Suddenly dispossessed, Elsa (somehow) met and fell in love with a Milanese (c. 1450) soldier, and married him when he became a Centurion and therefore able to support her studies as an apprentice to a Dane/Saxon smith.

Interests

  • Checking out what Charles has in the works
  • Weaving
  • Lampwork Beads
  • Lucet braiding
  • Knitting
  • Spinning
  • Cooking things that include saffron (I've had happy times with researching Moorish cuisine)

Timeline of Activity

Yeah, I have a ridiculously intensive timeline of "things I've done" written up. It includes quite a few mundane markers, too. I did that for me so I don't lose the "people and things that went before." If you're actually interested, the link to that timeline is in this header. It's obviously a work in progress.

Notable Contributions or Accomplishments

  • 2011 A&S Champion of the Shire of Adlersruhe (mundanely located in Amarillo, TX)
