I'm shy but excited to meet people.
I love hugs!! Big bear ones, subtle side ones, ever barrel ones!! I LOVE HUGS!!!
But I don't like surprises and limelight...
Like most of us, I am trying to get back into the swing of things. Hopefully, the Plague will lift and we can begin again!

Notable Contributions or Accomplishments:

  • Medieval Fair Demo Support: For years, Ulric Schildmann (my husband) and I hosted a hands-on leather crafting demo at the Norman Medieval Fair as part of the SCA encampment. There, I also partnered with the event coordinators and Ministers of Children to create flyers for Med. Fair. Including maps of the compound with posters for a non-interactive scavenger hunt while at the same time "labeling" each tent/center.
  • Once officially joining the MOCs of the North, I added quiet corners with cushions and educational electronics for children that needed to step away from the group's activities (either for special needs reasons, boredom, or exhaustion). I also started hosting open activity centers at events for kids to come and go participating in a variety of crafts and things. While not being in an enclosed classroom, this turned out really well for kids and their parents to pop-in at anytime between their competitions and scheduled activities!
  • If you have followed along with Crown Tournaments on Facebook over the last few years, I am the magnet lady! Each Crown Tournament, I gather up the list entrants and their devices to keep track of the proceedings of the tournament. At Fall Crown 2021 and Vindheim Coronet in 2021, I was blessed with the ability to attend both, and hand out the magnets to all of the contestants afterwards. I hope to continue to do so in the future! So long as others encourage me to do what I love to do, I will be there!
  • My proudest endeavor began when I overheard a conversation my B&B and others were having about tent designs. I started sketching what people were saying and somehow my helium hands landed me the prestige of presenting all of the previous B&Bs of Namron in one amazing design; a Norse Ship. This project was so well received, that it led into the next and I was asked to design a braid that wrapped around the tent’s top while incorporating other elements. I Love to see these two tents being used!!

In Case of Court:

  • Name is pronounced "Gee-duh."
  • I have 2 autistic sons, so we usually do not stay for court. If I am to be called-in, please let me know so that I can be sure to attend and have my boys taken care of. And since my husband will most likely be with our boys, I would love an escort too. Company helps calm the nerves :)
