Persona History:
Base-born to a minor Genoese patrician in 1385. In 1400 at 15 yrs of age, joined the Genoese fleet as a crossbowman. Served until 1408 before joining a mercenary company. The company was hired by the Teutonic Order in 1409 when they participated in the Polish-Lithuanian-Teutonic War. In 1413, the company was hired by the Poles and saw battle during the Hunger War of 1414. After the conclusion of that war, he left the company and traveled Greece until 1415 when, upon returning to Genua, he was recognized and made heir by his father, whose only true-born child had succumbed to a lifelong illness. In 1416, he wed the daughter of a North African merchant. He then became Lord of the estate upon his father's death in 1418.
