Founded in the summer of 1977, the Shire of Graywood is located in Deep East Texas (Nacogdoches/Lufkin), Texas, in the Central Region of Ansteorra. We gather frequently to practice both chivalric and rapier fighting skills, as well as a wide variety of arts and sciences.

Heraldry

The local branch name, Shire of Graywood, was registered in July of 1979.

  • The following device was registered in November of 1988: Argent, a compass star within a laurel wreath, on a chief embattled vert four pine trees argent.

Additional Registered Heraldry

  • The following three badges were all registered in February of 1990:
    • Per fess embattled argent and vert, in pale a fir tree couped and a compass star counterchanged.
    • Per fess embattled argent and vert, in pale a compass star and a fir tree couped counterchanged.
