Before the Trimarin bolt struck true, it was intercepted by Hákon's own. Persona History:
Hákon jarnsmiðr (Hákon the Ironsmith) was a poor Svealander bóndi in the early 9th century. Trained as a blacksmith, he went a-viking at 17, traveling as far as Jorvik in the west and Miklagarðr in the south. Returning home 9 years later, he found his parents and their farm gone. He decided farming wasn't for him, and became a permanent traveler.
