The Kingdom of Ansteorra uses the "Award Charter" system; pre-printed scroll blanks are distributed to volunteers throughout the Kingdom, who carefully paint them per guidelines. In general, original scrolls are only given out for Peerages or special presentations.

History:

The Scribal Guild in Ansteorra was created prior to 1984. Its first newsletter was called "A.D.O.N.I.S" or "A Disorganized Occasional Newsletter for Illuminators and Scribes" and was created by Zinaida Umanskaya.

Roles:

• The Star Signet: This is the administrator of the Scribal Guild, providing direction to the regional officers.
• The Sable Scroll: This is the Crown's contact with the scribal guild, and are responsible for making sure that the appropriate type of scroll is completed with the recipient's name and is ready for presentation by Their Majesties.
• The Golden Scroll: This office handles filling requests for replacement scrolls.
• Scribal Historian: This office works to preserve and maintain the records and history of the Scribe's Guild.
• Insignia Deputy: This office works to develop award insignia as appropriate for presentation by the Crown.
• Award Texts Deputy: This office handles the creation of all and any text for new Award Charters.
