A Summary of Royal Court at Elfsea Yule

by Maitre Etienne De Saint Amaranth

(UPDATED: After this summary was posted, His Majesty re-opened court and bestowed an award at the end of feast. Summary updated at the end to include this. Charter pics to be uploaded and this note will be updated once they are.)

It was the 11th of January, being the Feast of Saint Paulinus II who was a priest, theologian, poet and scholar during the Carolingian Renaissance, and the Barony of Elfsea hosted their annual Yule Revel. Into this, His Majesty Jean Paul came and visited with the Royal Heirs, Jason and Margherita. Further this event also hosted the Sable Soldier training sessions and practice.

In morning court, His Majesty called for and recognized newcomers and further called for those needing Sable Shields. Their Excellencies recognized some of their populace and had announcements of the day shared. And the day’s activities started.

As evening and feast drew close, His Majesty, the Royal Heirs and Their Excellencies of Elfsea processed into court and the evening court began. His Majesty again called for newcomers and those needing Sable Shields. Then the Generals of the Ansteorran army exhorted the populace to attend and fight or compete or to support those who could and would.

Elfsea then conducted additional business.

When court activity returned to the Stellar Thrones, His Majesty was pleased to recognize, on behalf of himself and our Queen, Gilyan, the following:

In closing, His Majesty shared words on kindness, Elfsea and Ansteorra closed their courts, and everyone headed to a joyous feast.

But wait, there is more. At feast, His Majesty got to experience first hand entries into the dessert competition held that day. Including one entry redacted from a 16th century description. He was impressed with the research and work, and then he tasted the actual product. His Majesty immediately moved to recognize the artistry of the culinary researcher and he bestowed:

Alexandra Lunette Arundel - Sable Flur

Then royal court business was concluded.
