- Namron Protectorate happened! And it was awesome! It was an absolutely nonstop weekend, between helping with 2 processions, competing in the rapier tournament, and sanitation coordinating, but I had a blast.

Aurora's Quest
After another excellent Salle de Stormweasels practice on July 9, 2025, Veronica approached me and offered to work with me as my Doña or (following her elevation in October) as my MoD. Being unsure whether I wanted to pursue a formal studentship in rapier, I expressed that to her and asked what it would mean to be her student. In response, she offered me a Quest, consisting of fighting 100 people, speaking with the members of each Peerage and Grant order in Ansteorra, doing several kinds of service, and some amount of research and an A&S project. The Quest does not require that I commit to a formal studentship, with her or anyone else, but is instead intended to give me a broader understanding of the SCA and what studentship means so that I can make a more informed decision. All of that sounded like things I wanted to do anyway, so I have taken her Quest. Once I start, I have a year to complete it. I look forward to the journey.
