Crestina da Brescia (Photographer) recalls, "There was a young lady at this event selling roses. Our king decided to buy a rose for his queen. She had just turned her back to talk to a member of her populace. He dropped to his knees and called to her. "My Queen.." She turned, and answered: "My king!" He handed her the rose, telling her that no other could match her beauty, grace or inspiration. She kissed him and I managed to snag this picture through my tears. You could see their love for each other in a look across the field or in a touch on the throne. I was able to catch a glimpse in a photograph and it is a favorite of mine to this day."
