Star of Merit

The Order of the Star of Merit of Ansteorra is an award that was created by the first crown of Ansteorra. It is for exceptional service to the kingdom.
The Star is an Grant level award.
The award ranks just below the all nobility and peers and before simple Grants of Rank. It has equal precedence with the Orders of the White Scarf, Iris of Merit, Centurions of the Sable Star, Arc d'Or and Golden Lance.
Companions of the Order shall be entitled to wear a ribbon Or edged sable charged with an Ansteorran star (a mullet of five greater and five lesser points sable), worn above the left elbow or below the right knee.
