Graywood

Argent, a compass star within a laurel wreath, on a chief embattled vert four pine trees argent.

The Shire of Graywood is located in Deep East Texas (Nacogdoches/Lufkin), Texas, in the Central Region of Ansteorra. We gather frequently to practice both our chivalric and rapier fighting skills, as well as arts and sciences.

Heraldry

The name was registered in July of 1979.

• The following device was registered in November of 1988: Argent, a compass star within a laurel wreath, on a chief embattled vert four pine trees argent.

• The following three badges all registered in February of 1990:
  • Per fess embattled argent and vert, in pale a fir tree couped and a compass star counterchanged.

• • Per fess embattled argent and vert, in pale a compass star and a fir tree couped counterchanged.

• • Per fess embattled vert and argent, in pale two swords in saltire and a compass star counterchanged.
