===Persona History:===
Initially I was given the advice to wait to choose my name and persona until I knew what type of garb I wanted to wear. I found this painting of a lovely late period German dress that I thought would be my 'dream' garb, so I decided to create a German persona based on that garb. I didn't want a "thick" German sounding name, so I searched until I found Ayla on a list of 15th C German women's names. Suffice it to say, my name and my garb, and my weaving activities have never meshed on a historical timeline but the anachronism part of the SCA is one of the wonderful parts of this game we play.

Persona History:

Initially I was given the advice to wait to choose my name and persona until I knew what type of garb I wanted to wear. I found this painting of a lovely late period German dress that I thought would be my 'dream' garb, so I decided to create a German persona based on that garb. I didn't want a "thick" German sounding name, so I searched until I found Ayla on a list of 15th C German women's names. Suffice it to say, my name and my garb, and my weaving activities have never meshed on a historical timeline but the anachronism part of the SCA is one of the wonderful parts of this game we play.

Interests:

  • Teaching weaving

  • Serving feasts

Timeline of Activity:

I began playing during my freshman year of college at OSU when someone noticed my boyfriend and I doing chainmaille in a coffee shop on campus. They asked if we were in the SCA, which I knew nothing about, but my boyfriend did and so that weekend we stayed in town instead of going back home and we went to fighter practice. I got drawn by some weaving that was happening near the list field and the rest is history.

I started playing in Mooneschadowe in 2003 and lived there for 6 or 7 years. I then moved to Northkeep where I lived until 2017. While living in Northkeep, I continued playing with Mooneschadowe, and eventually considered both to be home. I moved to An Tir in 2017, officially living within the Barony of Aquaterra, but playing with the Baronies of Madrona and Wyewood. I now live within the boundaries of the Barony of Madrona (I think).

Northkeep's WinterKingdom was my very first event, followed by the KASMAT (Kingdom Arts & Sciences / Mooneschadowe's Ansteorran Tribute), followed by Gulf Wars XIII.
