The Shire of St. Gwyndebourne was at Fort Hood, in Bell County, Texas, in what is now the Southern Region of Ansteorra. It was approved as a branch at the December, 1978 meeting of the S.C.A. Board of Directors [1].

After the fall of St. Gwyndebourne, Fort Hood later became part of the unrelated Shire of Middleford, and then the seat of the Stronghold of Hellsgate of the Barony of Bryn Gwlad, which has no connection to either preceding branch.
