After returning home he retired, opening a small roadside Tavern where he was noted for filling travelers bellies with "The best fare this side of Avalon herself".

The Lining is attached to a strip of on grain linen, at the edges so that it can be removed and replaced as needed. The appliqué was done by hand on wool that I dyed grey. All the exposed stitching is done by hand. This was my second hand embroidery project ever.

====My First Event====
I had been involved in other groups for a while, but I wanted more people to learn from. So I tried to get up the gumption to go to SCA. After several failed attempts, I didn't have good enough garb, didn't know anyone, ect. I decided to trick myself. I knew that if I had a responsibility, I would show up. So, I signed up for a prize scroll at a rapier event happening near me. It worked, I made the Queen's Champion scroll, went to the event and loved it. Met some lovely people, including Penelope de Bourbon and her Husband Kevin the Broken, and never left.

I had been involved in other groups for a while, but I wanted more people to learn from. So I tried to get up the gumption to go to SCA. After several failed attempts, I didn't have good enough garb, didn't know anyone, ect. I decided to trick myself. I knew that if I had a responsibility, I would show up. So, I signed up for a prize scroll at a rapier event happening near me. It worked, I made the Queen's Champion scroll, went to the event and loved it. Met some lovely people, including Penelope de Bourbon and her Husband Kevin the Broken, and never left.

The Lining is attached to a strip of on grain linen, at the edges so that it can be removed and replaced as needed. The appliqué was done by hand on wool that I dyed grey. All the exposed stitching is done by hand. This was my second hand embroidery project ever.

I had been involved in other groups for a while, but I wanted more people to learn from. So I tried to get up the gumption to go to SCA. After several failed attempts, I didn't have good enough garb, didn't know anyone, ect. I decided to trick myself. I knew that if I had a responsibility, I would show up. So, I signed up for a prize scroll at a rapier event happening near me. It worked, I made the Queen's Champion scroll, went to the event and loved it. Met some lovely people, including Penelope de Bourbon and her Husband Kevin the Broken, and never left.

The Lining is attached to a strip of on grain linen, at the edges so that it can be removed and replaced as needed. The appliqué was done by hand on wool that I dyed grey. All the exposed stitching is done by hand. This was my second hand embroidery project ever.

I had been involved in other groups for a while, but I wanted more people to learn from. So I tried to get up the gumption to go to SCA. After several failed attempts, I didn't have good enough garb, didn't know anyone, ect. I decided to trick myself. I knew that if I had a responsibility, I would show up. So, I signed up for a prize scroll at a rapier event happening near me. It worked, I made the Queen's Champion scroll, went to the event and loved it. Met some lovely people, including Penelope de Bourbon and her Husband Kevin the Broken, and never left.

I had been involved in other groups for a while, but I wanted more people to learn from. So I tried to get up the gumption to go to SCA. After several failed attempts, I didn't have good enough garb, didn't know anyone, ect. I decided to trick myself. I knew that if I had a responsibility, I would show up. So, I signed up for a prize scroll at a rapier event happening near me. It worked, I made the Queen's Champion scroll, went to the event and loved it. Met some lovely people, including Penelope de Bourbon and her Husband Kevin the Broken, and never left.

Anne is a daughter of a patrician family of Wiese in Germany’s Southwestern region near a tributary of the Rhine River in the 1500s. She is accomplished in the household arts such as sewing and embroidery. Her first husband was a wealthy guild tradesman in Augsburg and she is much loved by his family. She has remarried a landed nobleman's second son who has served as a captain of an artillery unit in the militia in several campaigns. She spends her time at her extended family's estates with her daughter and visits her husband on occasion while en route to a campaign. When traveling, Anne is known to dress down to blend in with the crowd to avoid notice. Generally, she follows patrician sumptuary laws when enforced but enjoys the cutting edge fashions of the time, which often have elements common in the imagery of the 1520s-1530s.

In SCA around the known world we encourage people with shared interests to join together in Colleges and guilds. You can generally think of them as every variation of Arts & Sciences groups.

Individual lands might have their own local guilds, or that art might only have a guild or group at the kingdom level. They might be general guilds or something more specific. The Lady de la Marche is an avid and active researcher, she delights in researching clothing and accessories, particularly hoods. She uses examples from illumination, and experiments with patterns. She also a passionate teacher of hand sewing technique and Hood construction for both adults and children.

A dedicated member of her chapter she enjoys holding office, in both the vital position of Seneschal, and as Social Media Deputy. She has created, maintained, and sourced content for multiple social media platforms for The Barony of Stargate; including Instagram, YouTube, Discord accounts.

Margot has also published a hand sewing guide series in the Two Towers, the newsletter for the chapter of Stargate.
