Master Julien de la Fontaine is a French nobleman in the late 16th Century from the [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comtat_Venaissin Comtat Venaissin]. Educated at the [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/University_of_Paris Sorbonne], Julien is a Captain for the army of the Papal States and the heir to his family's estates in [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Provence Provence]. Primarily a swordsman, Julien also is a perfumer and dabbles in brewing and leather working. Active in the SCA since August 2015, he previously lived in Caid from 2015-2017, the Outlands from 2017-2019, Atlantia from 2019-2021, and Calontir from 2021-2024. He now resides in [[Bonwicke]].

== Alternate Persona ==
Tahmuras al-Hajj al-Shirazi is a traveling merchant in late 1500s Safavid Persia. Ethnically Georgian, Tahmuras' ancestors were participants in the military founding of the Safavid Dynasty. He was an officer in the Qizilbash military before retiring and investing his savings into starting a new career as a caravan merchant on the Silk Roads through Central and Southern Asia to Western China. Tahmuras completed the Hajj with his father and brother as a young man.
