I am Aubri de Baudrecourt, 14th Vidame de Vichery, 10th Baron et pair de Revigny and seigneur de Baudrecourt, Juvaincourt and Vaudoncourt. I was born in 1460 to a family that had been in service to the Comtes de Vaudemont since 1111. When Rene II, comte de Vaudemont became Duc de Lorraine, this placed the House of Lorraine-Vaudemont on a collision course with the much more powerful House of Valois-Bourgogne. Though some cousins supported Charles le Temeraire of Bourgogne, we stayed with the young Duc de Lorraine and we shared his triumph on the field of Nancy in 1477. For our loyalty we gained further lands in Bar and in central Lorraine. 
 
We accompanied Rene on his many adventures in France, Lorraine and Italie (where he sought, without success, to recover the kingdom of Naples, the claim to which came down to him through his illustrious ancestor, good king Rene d'Anjou), In time Rene was called to his reward as the good steward of Lorraine by Our Heavenly Father and his son Antoine came to the ducal throne. 
 
Antoine, raised in France with Francois d'Angouleme in the court of Louis XII, because of his friendship with the future King Francois, aligned our foreign policy with that of France. We marched off to war with the young king in 1515 and, in that year, I saw my last battlefield, that of Marignano. I remained at the side of my duke, fighting well into the night under the full moon, until chevalier de Bayard found us, far behind the main battle line and led us back to our camp. 
 
On the the morning my son, Jean, led our Venetian allies onto the left flank of the Swiss and the tide of battle changed in our favor. In the wake of the battle the joyful young king provided for my son a county and he and my duke extended my holdings in Lorraine and Bar. Now, in my old age, I find repose in my estates in sunny Lorraine, reading an ancient Italian book concerning the use of knightly weapons that i found in Friuli. My days of adventure are done, such things being the realm of young men.

Vos Majestés - Je m'appelle Sieur Alexandre Crane, Chevalier de la Société.

The knights of the Order of Chivalry foster many virtues in not only their students but all within the Society, the chief among those is normally regarded as prowess. Don Aubri has proven his prowess with a blade many times over on the field of combat. As such, I would speak on other virtues that we hold dear. I would speak on his Courtesy, his Faith, and his Generosity.

This man, who watched a relative newcomer to the Society pick up a rapier and dive into the fray, then sat to speak with that newcomer and calmly explained that murder on the field can be an art in itself when combined with being a gentleman. This man, who maintained contact with that newcomer over the years, no matter the distance, to continue to share of his knowledge and foster not only a passion for combat, but a previously unknown passion for learning the one true science of the Society: History. And this man, who continues to share his passion, skills, wisdom, knowledge, and friendship with that former newcomer, even a decade later.

Your Majesties, this man is already my Peer, in more ways than one, and I am thrilled to hear of his recognition as a Master of this craft, as well.

While serving as Kingdom Rapier Marshal (1993 - 1995), oversaw the introduction of Ansteorra's first heavy rapiers ("Schlaggers"), wrote the first set of rules and won the Crown's approval for their use. Also during his tenure in office he negotiated White Scarf treaties with the Kingdom of the West and the Kingdom of Caid as well as a Treaty of Equivalency with the Kingdom of the East for the Order of the Golden Rapier of the East and the White Scarf of Ansteorra (this treaty, sadly, was abrogated by the King of the East in the next reign).

I have yet another Gulfnado story for you. One of chivalry and honor. (And just happens to be about my favorite Squire, [[Alexandre Crane]].) Lady [[Marita Boë]] and I just started a transportation shift when the storm started to blow in. They called us off our noble golf carts and into the guard house, where we spent the vast majority of the storm huddled in the back, listening to radio panic. While the storm still raged, Alexandre appeared in the doorway, soaked to the skin and cold, having been searching for me. (While I was warm and dry in the guard house.) I asked what he had been doing, and he replied he had spent the storm holding down the Whitacre Family Pavilion, doing his duty as a squire. I told him I would go back with him to help, but he told me to stay where I was and to find him after the storm blew over. (I am not typically one to change my course of action just because someone tells me to, but the warmth and overall dryness convinced me to stay.) When I tried to get him to stay with us, he refused. So I handed him the poncho I had put on before my transportation shift, and he went back down the road. Once the storm had cleared, I slogged my way through the mud to our encampment, only to find him running around, helping every place he could. In [[Northkeep]]'s camp, he had helped pull the group pavilion out of the muck, at Whitacre, he had spent the entire storm cold rain running down his arms and back, physically holding down the pavilion (along with many others) to keep the newly painted and absolutely beautiful pavilion from flying away. Hours later, I finally had the chance to pin him down and force him to change out of his sopping wet clothes, because he just wanted to keep helping. He has made proud on both the chivalric and rapier field many times, but I have never been prouder than I was after Gulfnado, hearing how long and hard he worked, and how many he helped.

Members of the order of the Laurel are often recognized as experts in a particular field in an art that we feel passionately about. Do we always know everything? No. Do we always get things right? No. And yet we are renowned throughout the kingdom as leaders, as guides, as examples. 

What is Alexandre‘s art? What does he study? I say his art is prowess, loyalty, generosity, courage, honesty, franchise, Faith, humility, courtesy - chivalry. Your Majesties this is his art. In this and more this man is my peer.

Your Majesties, the Knightly virtues of the gentle who presents himself before you is not only known in your Kingdom but they have been witnessed firsthand by ourselves, who currently live in the faraway lands of Drachenwald. 
We first met Alexandre 9 years ago when he was on a pilgrimage to the Lands of AEthelmeac, specifically to the Barony of the Debatable lands. He was hoping to get a mere glimpse of the holy cup of Stanley, which was making a rare appearance due to a Penguin migration. Alexandre humbly sought refuge at our manor, and even though he was a stranger to us, in our brief interaction with him we could already see that he was a man of honor, generosity, and though not a knight by title, was living by the code with every part of him. We felt this so strongly that when the holy cup of Stanley made ANOTHER appearance a year later, we felt comfortable handing this honorable man the keys to our manor, even though we were not at home. 
A few years after our first meeting we became heirs to the thrones of AEthelmearc and our royal progress brought us to your lands of Ansteorra. (So that we may bear witness to the coronation of our Royal cousins, Lochlann Dunn IV and Gwen verch Cynwrig de Ynys Mon III). Due to the distance, no one from our royal household was able to join us and assist us with retaining. We reached out to Alexandre and humbly requested suggestions on who we could ask for help. Without hesitation his virtue of generosity shone through for he and his beautiful wife stood by our side the whole time and we wanted for nothing. 
Fast forward to last year when we made the journey from Drachenwald to the Great Gulf Wars. We were privileged to witness Alexandre’s prowess during the Meridian Rose tournament, where he fought with precision and honor. He may not have been the victor of the entire tournament but you could see on his face (and especially on the face of the rose he represented) that the honor and skill he brought to the field was the only victory he needed. 
Your Majesties, and the Knights of Ansteorra, with our voices raised high, so that they may be heard across an ocean, we, Duke Sven and Duchess Siobhan, proclaim that we are honored call our friend Alexandre our peer.

I have yet another Gulfnado story for you. One of chivalry and honor. (And just happens to be about my favorite Squire, [[Alexandre Crane]].) Lady [[Marita Boë]] and I just started a transportation shift when the storm started to blow in. They called us off our noble golf carts and into the guard house, where we spent the vast majority of the storm huddled in the back, listening to radio panic. While the storm still raged, Alexandre appeared in the doorway, soaked to the skin and cold, having been searching for me. (While I was warm and dry in the guard house.) I asked what he had been doing, and he replied he had spent the storm holding down the Whitacre Family Pavilion, doing his duty as a squire. I told him I would go back with him to help, but he told me to stay where I was and to find him after the storm blew over. (I am not typically one to change my course of action just because someone tells me to, but the warmth and overall dryness convinced me to stay.) When I tried to get him to stay with us, he refused. So I handed him the poncho I had put on before my transportation shift, and he went back down the road. Once the storm had cleared, I slogged my way through the mud to our encampment, only to find him running around, helping every place he could. In [[Northkeep]]'s camp, he had helped pull the group pavilion out of the muck, at Whitacre, he had spent the entire storm cold rain running down his arms and back, physically holding down the pavilion (along with many others) to keep the newly painted and absolutely beautiful pavilion from flying away. Hours later, I finally had the chance to pin him down and force him to change out of his sopping wet clothes, because he just wanted to keep helping. He has made proud on both the chivalric and rapier field many times, but I have never been prouder than I was after Gulfnado, hearing how long and hard he worked, and how many he helped.

Your Majesties, the Knightly virtues of the gentle who presents himself before you is not only known in your Kingdom but they have been witnessed firsthand by ourselves, who currently live in the faraway lands of Drachenwald. 
We first met Alexandre 9 years ago when he was on a pilgrimage to the Lands of AEthelmeac, specifically to the Barony of the Debatable lands. He was hoping to get a mere glimpse of the holy cup of Stanley, which was making a rare appearance due to a Penguin migration. Alexandre humbly sought refuge at our manor, and even though he was a stranger to us, in our brief interaction with him we could already see that he was a man of honor, generosity, and though not a knight by title, was living by the code with every part of him. We felt this so strongly that when the holy cup of Stanley made ANOTHER appearance a year later, we felt comfortable handing this honorable man the keys to our manor, even though we were not at home. 
A few years after our first meeting we became heirs to the thrones of AEthelmearc and our royal progress brought us to your lands of Ansteorra. (So that we may bear witness to the coronation of our Royal cousins, Lochlann Dunn IV and Gwen verch Cynwrig de Ynys Mon III). Due to the distance, no one from our royal household was able to join us and assist us with retaining. We reached out to Alexandre and humbly requested suggestions on who we could ask for help. Without hesitation his virtue of generosity shone through for he and his beautiful wife stood by our side the whole time and we wanted for nothing. 
Fast forward to last year when we made the journey from Drachenwald to the Great Gulf Wars. We were privileged to witness Alexandre’s prowess during the Meridian Rose tournament, where he fought with precision and honor. He may not have been the victor of the entire tournament but you could see on his face (and especially on the face of the rose he represented) that the honor and skill he brought to the field was the only victory he needed.

The Barony of Northkeep is located in Tulsa, Oklahoma, in the [[Northern Region]] of Ansteorra, and was founded in 1978. It was earlier called ''Nord As Das Strom,'' although that name was never registered. Northkeep became a Barony in 1996.

The current Baron and Baroness are [[Geoffrey de Gournay]] and [[Adalia von dem Berg]].

Northkeep has two Active Cantons and one dissolved:

Your Majesties, the Knightly virtues of the gentle who presents himself before you is not only known in your Kingdom but they have been witnessed firsthand by ourselves, who currently live in the faraway lands of Drachenwald. 
We first met Alexandre 9 years ago when he was on a pilgrimage to the Lands of AEthelmeac, specifically to the Barony of the Debatable lands. He was hoping to get a mere glimpse of the holy cup of Stanley, which was making a rare appearance due to a Penguin migration. Alexandre humbly sought refuge at our manor, and even though he was a stranger to us, in our brief interaction with him we could already see that he was a man of honor, generosity, and though not a knight by title, was living by the code with every part of him. We felt this so strongly that when the holy cup of Stanley made ANOTHER appearance a year later, we felt comfortable handing this honorable man the keys to our manor, even though we were not at home. 
A few years after our first meeting we became heirs to the thrones of AEthelmearc and our royal progress brought us to your lands of Ansteorra. (So that we may bear witness to the coronation of our Royal cousins, Lochlann Dunn IV and Gwen verch Cynwrig de Ynys Mon III). Due to the distance, no one from our royal household was able to join us and assist us with retaining. We reached out to Alexandre and humbly requested suggestions on who we could ask for help. Without hesitation his virtue of generosity shone through for he and his beautiful wife stood by our side the whole time and we wanted for nothing. 
Fast forward to last year when we made the journey from Drachenwald to the Great Gulf Wars. We were privileged to witness Alexandre’s prowess during the Meridian Rose tournament, where he fought with precision and honor. He may not have been the victor of the entire tournament but you could see on his face (and especially on the face of the rose he represented) that the honor and skill he brought to the field was the only victory he needed. 
Your Majesties, and the Knights of Ansteorra, with our voices raised high, so that they may be heard across an ocean, we, Duke Sven and Duchess Siobhan, proclaim that we are honored call our friend Alexandre our peer.

The Barony of Northkeep is located in Tulsa, Oklahoma, in the [[Northern Region]] of Ansteorra, and was founded in 1978. It was earlier called ''Nord As Das Strom,'' although that name was never registered. Northkeep became a Barony in 1996.

The current Baron and Baroness are [[Geoffrey de Gournay]] and [[Adalia von dem Berg]].

Northkeep has two Active Cantons and one dissolved:

Born in the 17th year of the reign of King Phillip VI. The third son of the Lord of Beaujeu was raised by his Mother and brothers after his father died at the battle of Crecy in (1346). Tragedy again struck as Perrin’s eldest brother fell sick of the plague in 1349. A youngest son, and in light of the great pestilence, Perrin’s mother insisted he be raised for clerical service. After studying at the local parish, in 1360 he left for the University at Bologna. In Italy Perrin dabbled in the art of the fence, while he should have been attending to his clerical studies. In 1369 despite not finishing his studies, he was called home when his elder brother fell at the battle of Monteil, in Castille. As the now heir to the Beaujeu lands, Perrin was wed to Jehanne de Montauban. Since then, they have worked hard to rebuild holdings lost or destroyed in these tumultuous years.

Alexandre also wins the Newcomer Tournament at this same event, the morning after Thor’s visit to Evangelos’ Knighting Ceremony.

I have yet another Gulfnado story for you. One of chivalry and honor. (And just happens to be about my favorite Squire, [[Alexandre Crane]].) Lady [[Marita Boë]] and I just started a transportation shift when the storm started to blow in. They called us off our noble golf carts and into the guard house, where we spent the vast majority of the storm huddled in the back, listening to radio panic. While the storm still raged, Alexandre appeared in the doorway, soaked to the skin and cold, having been searching for me. (While I was warm and dry in the guard house.) I asked what he had been doing, and he replied he had spent the storm holding down the Whitacre Family Pavilion, doing his duty as a squire. I told him I would go back with him to help, but he told me to stay where I was and to find him after the storm blew over. (I am not typically one to change my course of action just because someone tells me to, but the warmth and overall dryness convinced me to stay.) When I tried to get him to stay with us, he refused. So I handed him the poncho I had put on before my transportation shift, and he went back down the road. Once the storm had cleared, I slogged my way through the mud to our encampment, only to find him running around, helping every place he could. In [[Northkeep]]'s camp, he had helped pull the group pavilion out of the muck, at Whitacre, he had spent the entire storm cold rain running down his arms and back, physically holding down the pavilion (along with many others) to keep the newly painted and absolutely beautiful pavilion from flying away. Hours later, I finally had the chance to pin him down and force him to change out of his sopping wet clothes, because he just wanted to keep helping. He has made proud on both the chivalric and rapier field many times, but I have never been prouder than I was after Gulfnado, hearing how long and hard he worked, and how many he helped.

The Barony of Northkeep is located in Tulsa, Oklahoma, in the [[Northern Region]] of Ansteorra, and was founded in 1978. It was earlier called ''Nord As Das Strom,'' although that name was never registered. Northkeep became a Barony in 1996.

The current Baron and Baroness are [[Perrin de Beaujeu]] and [[Jehanne de Montauban]].

Northkeep has two Active Cantons and one dissolved:

Mid to Late-2011: Traveled to [[Northkeep]], Ansteorra from what Alexandre referred to as the Kingdom of Apocrypha and the Duchy of Broknarra searching for a long time friend, [[Evangelos Thrakios]]. He takes part in some Chivalric Combat and plays part in the Vigil and Knighting of Evangelos at [[Mooneschadowe]]’s Triumphe of the Eclipse. Alexandre also wins the Newcomer Tournament at this same event, the morning after Thor’s visit to Evangelos’ Knighting Ceremony. 
Mid 2012: Begins competing in earnest in Chivalric Combat in [[Northkeep]]. 
 
February 2013: Accepts a Squire’s Belt from Sir [[Evangelos Thrakios]] at [[Mooneschadowe]]’s Provencial Games event before family, friends and Crown. 
 
March 2013: Awarded Lordship through an Award of Arms at [[Wiesenfeuer]] Baronial.

I have yet another Gulfnado story for you. One of chivalry and honor. (And just happens to be about my favorite Squire, [[Alexandre Crane]].) Lady [[Marita Boë]] and I just started a transportation shift when the storm started to blow in. They called us off our noble golf carts and into the guard house, where we spent the vast majority of the storm huddled in the back, listening to radio panic. While the storm still raged, Alexandre appeared in the doorway, soaked to the skin and cold, having been searching for me. (While I was warm and dry in the guard house.) I asked what he had been doing, and he replied he had spent the storm holding down the Whitacre Family Pavilion, doing his duty as a squire. I told him I would go back with him to help, but he told me to stay where I was and to find him after the storm blew over. (I am not typically one to change my course of action just because someone tells me to, but the warmth and overall dryness convinced me to stay.) When I tried to get him to stay with us, he refused. So I handed him the poncho I had put on before my transportation shift, and he went back down the road. Once the storm had cleared, I slogged my way through the mud to our encampment, only to find him running around, helping every place he could. In [[Northkeep]]'s camp, he had helped pull the group pavilion out of the muck, at Whitacre, he had spent the entire storm cold rain running down his arms and back, physically holding down the pavilion (along with many others) to keep the newly painted and absolutely beautiful pavilion from flying away. Hours later, I finally had the chance to pin him down and force him to change out of his sopping wet clothes, because he just wanted to keep helping. He has made proud on both the chivalric and rapier field many times, but I have never been prouder than I was after Gulfnado, hearing how long and hard he worked, and how many he helped.
